First of all, thanks to the more 400 people so far who have signed the AYSO 177 petition in support of the installation of lights in El Dorado Park. We appreciate your support and we need it to be successful.

PROJECT UPDATE:

The City of Long Beach has requested that we prepare an environmental report to ensure that our project will not have negative impacts on the surrounding community or the birds in the park. That review is underway and will take several weeks to complete.

The City has also asked us to consider another location for our project. We are reviewing that site to see if it is feasible and if it will meet our needs.

No matter which project moves forward, we’ll need your support again in a couple of months when the Parks and Recreation Commission and the City Council are asked to approve our light project.

We’ll be sure to let you know because we will need your support to make this project a reality.
