Take Action: Submit Your Letter To Get Google To Come To Long Beach

We are working hard to get the world's fastest Internet connection to come to Long Beach.

As you know, Google, famous for its free search engine, announced plans last month to offer broadband service that will be 100 to 1,000 times faster than currently available high-speed Internet.

Google needs to test the new technology, and is looking for cities where it can offer this new, superfast Internet service at competitive rates for up to half-a-million customers.

I asked our City Council to support applying as a test city, and they unanimously agreed.

Now, we need your help.

Submit your letter of support below to Google by Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 5:00pm.

Feel free to call my office at (562) 570-6919 if you have any questions. Also, please help spread the word - feel free to forward this email, or post this to your Facebook wall. You can also use #LBGoogle to spread the word on Twitter.
